NEW BREWHOUSE RESTAURANT & NEW VISITOR TOILETS AT BENINGBROUGH HALL, YORK

This project is a mixture of refurbishment & new build

The Old Brewhouse in the Laundry Courtyard through the bell tower to the right of the Mansion House is being repaired, refurbished & fitted out as a new place for visitors to have a seat & take refreshment ( toasties, soup, sandwiches, drinks etc )

JMark are carrying out repairs to the walls & floor & installing a new insulated ceiling & new plumbing, heating, electrics & a new glass entrance screen & door

The space will then be fitted out with servery, seating & tables

It’s a tight timescale as we only started on the 22nd of January & the opening day is 24th March but plans are in place to meet the deadline

The new build toilet block which backs on to the Old Brewhouse has also started with the initial excavations & foundations as you will see from the photos

The archaeologist is on site regularly to inspect the dig but to date there is nothing of any significance to report

The build will take around 5 months in total to complete & should ( we will do our best )  look like the architects 3D impression when we’ve finished
