It has been a pleasure to work with JMark.

After a year in this house we identified a number of improvements we wanted to make. Being in a conservation area we chose our architect carefully and secured permission at the first attempt.

As main contractor JMark responded to the exacting specification professionally from the outset. A five month programme comprising four small extensions and full window replacement amongst other things was coordinated professionally, thoroughly, tidily and with good humour throughout, alongside our continuing occupation of the property.
Special mention needs to go to Paul and Mick, who guided us through the process on a daily basis, ably supported by Wayne and Julian.

Probably the greatest compliment we can pay to the finished project is that it looks as if it has been an integral part of the building throughout its 90 year history!

JMark Construction Ltd, have recently completed a new build project at our home in York, and we are delighted with our new kitchen/dining room extension. Julian and his team kept us informed of progress throughout the project and had no issues meeting to discuss changes to the drawings and still managing to keep with the original programme of work. The team worked efficiently, professional, and were very skilled and well organised, and always ready to do that little bit extra to ensure that we the customer were completely happy. We were impressed with their work rate, politeness and enthusiasm, the team were tidy and respectful of both our home space and our neighbours too. You managed to keep disruption, dust & the inconvenience to our patients & staff to an absolute minimum, your staff were very professional & helpful at all times.

The removal of the rubble was a particularly sensitive issue for us & again you & your staff did a great job, covering all the floor areas that may have been damaged or dirtied which certainly saved having to replace any carpeting.

After the fire at the church, Christmas time 2008, we were all devastated it looked like we could have lost everything!

Once the initial cleaning had been done JMark were contracted to do the restoration and alterations work. This was in no way a small a task, it included decorating, plumbing, joinery, sanding, new lighting and rewiring, carpeting and major alterations including removing a balcony and making good the remaining walls, floors and HOLES! All of this was first class work.

To say this was done extremely well is a real understatement. We had several site visits at which the ideas, plans changed and this was never a problem. JMark consistently worked to please us in everything and nothing was ever too much trouble. We added work, removed work, changed work and plans and it was all taken in their stride and offering constructive advice when they thought appropriate.
It was a totally hassle free experience with 110 per cent commitment from JMark at all time.

After the work was completed we had a totally transformed church, yet not losing any of its character. The workmanship was excellent; everything was completed before time with absolutely no complaints.

Since being back in the church our numbers have grown and our toddler group is nearly full and I’m sure this is due much to the beautiful bright, airy church we now offer. The congregation when first re-entering the church just stood stared and said WOW! This is also the case when people new to St. Wulstan’s visit us.
So JMark on behalf of all at St Wulstan’s, Fossway, York and all our visitors thank you for giving us back our church and for giving it new life to serve the Lord in this place.

I have used the above company on numerous occasions for general builders work/repairs over the last few years, and have found them to be very professional.

They have worked on both internal and external projects where health and safety are paramount.

Julian and Mark Graves, trading as Jmark Construction Ltd. built an extension to our kitchen during 2008. We knew of Julian and Mark when they worked for their family firm Graves Construction Ltd. which built an extension to the other end of our house in 1999. It was because we got on well with the Graves brothers that we were pleased when their tender was successful for our kitchen extension last year.

The job was a complex one with different levels, a complicated roof line and the replacement of a toilet in a different location. Except for a week in September we lived in the house while the work was going on.

We are pleased with the standard of the finished product. Throughout the job Julian and Mark Graves and their workforce did their best to fit in with us and to make sure we were satisfied with what they were doing. We had good relations with all the people who worked for them.

We would recommend JMARK Construction Ltd. to others. They were conscientious, accommodating and easy to deal with.

JMARK Construction Ltd did the major internal alterations for York Unitarian Chapel in Saint Saviourgate in summer 2008.

Because it is a Grade II* Listed Building it had taken us a long time to get the permissions we needed to make any alterations, but it was worth the wait and we were delighted with JMARK’s approach to doing the work.

Although we had to vacate the Chapel for 2 months (to enable them to remove 2 pews, raise the chancel floor area, put in two new toilets, one of them with access for people with disabilities, rehang the side doors to become fire exits, and refurbish the vestry and kitchen) JMARK readily agreed to give us access every Sunday to maintain our long tradition of Sunday worship services; they worked very carefully and tidily; used their ingenuity and sheer strength to tackle unusual problems like moving a 300 year old pulpit which ‘weighs a ton’ and moving it back again afterwards! We were delighted with the results and would be very happy to use them again – when the fundraising permits!

JMARK Construction is a very good and reliable company which I would highly recommend to anyone considering their employment. The children’s toilets at the school have been recently refurbished by JMARK. I am very impressed with the high standard of workmanship and, most importantly, the children are thrilled with their “very posh” toilets.

Why do I recommend JMARK?
Firstly, JMARK gives competitive quotes which are accurate. So often, quotations do not include those hidden extras, which can result in the cost of the job being far more than the original quote. This is not the case for JMARK. They give time to estimate the work to be done, so  realistic quotations are submitted.
JMARK will complete in the time they have specified so that the customer knows exactly when the work will be finished. This helps to coordinate with customer planning.
Their employees are honest, hard working, committed people who work together as an effective team. They are pleasant people to have around, which is particularly important when working in a school!
There is constant checking by Julian and Mark to make sure the work is to specification and is of a high standard. They will respond immediately and positively to the customer’s wishes to ensure the work is completed well, with every attention paid to the detail so that there is complete satisfaction. Any snagging work is undertaken quickly.
JMARK knows exactly what the customer wants and the finished product exceeds customer expectation.

Barry Robson motorcycle fit out contract, Value £384,000.00 inc Vat, internal fit out works to form new BMW Motorcycle show room with, work shop, offices, staff room, kitchen, toilets, stores and reception, with new lift to cater for motorcycles & DDA access, stainless steel & glass balustrading and external fire escape stairs, this was a 12 week contract and the works were carried out in summer 2017.

The Client Barry Robson was highly delighted with the completed product.

JMARK have been working in my school for a number of years, I am extremely happy with their work and always ask them to quote for jobs in school. They have undertaken an enormous variety of tasks from the small to the large. Their projects from the beginning to the end are well managed and finished on time.

Each project is approached with the same meticulous attention to detail, I particularly like the way JMARK are adaptable and very willing to work around the life in school, causing the minimum disruption to daily life. Their workers have always been courteous and tidy in their work, unlike a number of work men I have encountered!
